Entering 2025

It is the begging of the year and the time to see what is to come of these next 12 months. Having partially succeeded in my predictions for the year 2024, I am feeling quite optimistic (whether it be for good or for worse) about these ones now. Without any further ado, let's get into it.

Economic recovery (partially)

Just like we did in 2024, we will keep on riding towards a better economic future for the western society in this year as well. However, this time the trend will most likely tip the scales a bit, and the growth will in all likelihood happen mostly in the United States. Having Trump (or a republican in general) as a president has almost always guided the U.S. towards economic growth and prosperity in the way of less governmental interference for the businesses to struggle with. There is no reason to suspect why things would go any different this time. Europe, however, is still struggling, and will most likely continue to do so.

In 2025 we will see great economic growth which will be much more geographically focused locally to certain continents and countries than what we previously have seen.

The end of war in Ukraine (kind of)

Yet again, with Donald Trump soon in the white house, many people are expecting the Russo-Ukrainian war to end rather quickly in 2025. I am one of them. When it comes to terms of the peace – I have no idea. Still, I am confident that both Russia and Ukraine as well as the soon-to-be president of the U.S. are quite fed up with this war.

Make no mistake, the conflict will resume even when/if the active fighting and warfare ceased. This present version of Cold War 2.0 between Russia, their allies, and the west will most definitely keep on going.

Triumph of Bitcoin (yet again)

Bitcoin as an asset class has won – there is no question about it. However, yet again because of what Donald Trump's administration will most likely do, this year will mark the true epitome of triumph for the world's greatest cryptocurrency once the U.S. officially announces the start of building a bitcoin reserve for the federal government. After that, the individual states across the Northern America as well as other countries elsewhere in the world will start their own race towards buying as much Bitcoin as there will be left to buy.

After this, well, you may just use your wildest imagination of things to come and could still be surprised by what might happen. I know I will, no matter how clearly the facts are there for us all to see.

Economic plight of citizens and households, middle class going even more extinct

Unfortunately, I see no way out of this. The division between the rich and the poor will grow ever greater. In some countries (looking at you, socialist and leftist countries) this will actually be a healthy change, whereas in many other places not so much. I know that some people are still living in a reality where they think that their job and their paycheck will still be there for as long as they retire – after which the government will take care of them in the form of a pension.

If you are one of those people, wakey-wakey, it's time to wake up now.

Your job will be all the more uncertain, as will your pension. You will not be able to live like your parents or grandparents did, that is a fact which will keep on reminding people of itself every step of the way each time someone gets laid off or has to work until they are dead. Unlike the growth of income gaps, the death of middle class will do no one any good anywhere in the west. Yet, I can see no end to it just yet.

Increasing tensions everywhere in the west

Whether it be because of financial struggles, war, or extremist politics, increasing tensions among nations, countries, cities, unions, and people will keep on growing. This is the one prediction I cannot quite put into words. It is as if the very air we breathe just keeps getting thicker and thicker. There is just something there. It's hard to describe, it's intense, and its loaded with negative energies. I can't be the only one who can sense it, can I?
